sorry but your Abe Lincoln argument doesn’t exactly stand… In the 1860s the Republican Party was not the Republican Party we know today (they expanded federal power, imposed tariffs, etc.)… The Republican and democratic parties basically switched platforms between 1860-1930ish
I love this. It makes me really uncomfortable when a guy pays for me all the time, like I’m a burden or something. Also, I hate feeling like a owe a guy something just because he bought me dinner or gifts. Manners and respect are important but this is 2014, women are capable of feeding themselves sometimes lol.
I would expect being treated as my partner’s equal but that can’t happen if he pays all the time.
