For casual wear (especially as an undergrad), I often wore the classic srat “running around” outfit of norts and greek ts (mine or my fratdaddy’s) with rainbows or nike running shoes if on the way to the gym, and throw on a patagonia fleece if it’s chillier. I prefer JBrand or Seven jeans, though you can find affordable jeans at other more ‘discount’-like stores as long as you put in the time to shop – find a shape and pocket placement that suits your body. I went to school in the north and populated my wardrobe with a lot of boots for winter – Frye boots are great quality and adorable. I enjoy dresses and tops from boutiques but have no qualms of a simple ‘uniform’ of boots, skinny jeans, and cardigans. Tory Burch flats and sperrys (I prefer the classic style, non-feminized version) are popular and comfortable shoe options, tried and true. Everyone needs a classic, modest, stylish black dress, and it’s something important to invest in. As a sratty gal, you will likely need one for your sorority (Pref night, etc.), so take the time to find one that looks great and is tailored well for you.

For the work week (I’m a social media professional), I prefer double vented pencil skirts, Ralph Lauren oxfords, and cardigans with a little fun detail or embellishment – think a J.Crew cardigan with unusual buttons or a ribbon detail. For shoes I usually wear a classic black leather pointy toed pump or a nude round toe pump for summer. I carry a number of larger bags to work (need the room for papers/folders, planner, books for work, etc) , switching it up for outfit or mood, usually something classic, reliable, and leather (I like marc by marc jacobs and have a few of his leather bags: http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/marc-by-marc-jacobs-classic-q-huge-hillier-hobo/3052749?origin=related-3052749-0-0-2). I’ve had longchamps since high school and they’re easy and stylish bags as well. I keep my jewelry classic with pearl or diamond studs, pearl necklace (if I wear a necklace), a claddagh ring I received as a gift from my father from ireland (http://claddagh.com/ – if you’re not familiar), a monogram ring, and a Michele watch. I prefer classic nail polishes for the week, more “fun” colors for summer, especially if they highlight bronzed skin.

I’d love to hear what other girls wear in the professional world, and to everyone: keep srattin’!
