@maroonalien, those are some great statistics and facts, but there is only one problem with them. You fail to realize that the current economy was in fact fixed by the generation you are so willingly bashing. I.E. The Great Depression. You are also sitting here pointing out current BUYING POWER, and I ask for what reason exactly? You have failed A. to look at the difference in population, B you have failed to look at the current amount of products in the industry C you have failed to look at the current competition (I.E The E.U.) D you have failed to include what is the biggest reason the economy is in a rescission(China’s participation in The World Trade), along with many other reason that sum up the current problem with Americas economy. Now I understand that you stood up for our generation and I am not saying what you have stated is false, even towards the end of the article but I will question what the current ratio is(which is out of 80 million,Generation Y) to people who are making a difference and people who simply aren’t. Also back to one of my original questions, why are you talking so much about current buying power and so little about what the point is about in this article. I think its because you don’t have a god damn clue as to what to do about America’s current problem nor do you have any solutions so in fact you sit here and defend your self and our generations for all the wrong reason. You say our generation is involved with politics but why hasn’t our generation helped get people a bigger retirement so they can retire and people like yours self can replace them? Lmao, I bet you didn’t even know this was one of the problems, but you sit here and tell us about the current buying power because you want some to feel bad for you on how much money you have spent on college. So I ask again what is up with this buying power? How does it make our generation any worse or any better? When if this is such a problem, why hasn’t our generation done anything about it along with many other world and national problems?
