I waited until my sophomore year to rush because honestly I was not sure if I could spend my next couple of years in college surrounded by 100 other girls that thought exactly like you. Don’t get me wrong I love being in a sorority now and I’ve met some amazing women but it does not consume my whole entire life like it does to some girls on this website. Like I said I LOVE my sisters… (MY AOII ones as well as my PANHELLENIC ones) but I’d MUCH rather hang out with my guy friends. We just have wayyyyy more in common- I’d rather watch the game (not spend 2 hours getting ready for it), I do fantasy football drafts, I work in a sports bar… I played sports my whole life… it’s just something that I love with my whole entire heart. Why should me enjoying something that’s not a “TSM” or me happening to get along better with guys make me a “bitch.” I’m not going to sit on a high horse and say I don’t judge girls like you who would write such a thing or any other girl in college because I have.. but honestly what gives you the right to dog this type of girl. Just because we’re looked at as “one of the guys” does not mean we don’t like to dress up when the occasions occurs, or cook and clean for our fraternity men. All I’m saying is you should give this girl a chance… I have met plenty of women in our greek system that think like you and I get along fine with all of them. I’m not out to get closer to your frat daddy to “steal him from you” or “manipulate him” or any of that… we just have mutual interests. I’m from North Carolina I just happen to like moonshine, and whiskey, and other types of liquor. I don’t chew… I don’t always wear baseball caps (only to baseball games)… and I know how to behave like a lady when I need to. What makes sororities so great (or what’s supposed to anyways) is that girls that have absolutely nothing in common can all come together because we share some type of bond. If we can’t stop ripping on each other constantly how on god’s green earth do we ever think men are going to respect us… andddd I’m done with my rant….
