I’m confident that you meant no harm by this article. I’m sure you’re very proud of yourself and you’re just fine with not having to work and having to worry about how you’re going to pay for your next meal when you’re meal plan runs out for the week–and that’s okay. You’ve never had to know that struggle. But as someone who has had to financially support herself since age 14, this article projects the arrogance that people are truly putting you down for. Nobody hates you because your parents pay for your school and want you to be a full time student. The fact that you flaunt it and shove it in our faces–demeaning those of us who have no other choice than to take out student loans and who will be in mountains of debt. There was no need for this article. Congratulations, you’re well off (like I’m sure everybody who knows you is well aware of.) But to those of us who have to work 40 hours a week at a bar while trying to write papers while you’re at a bar so you can “focus on school”–Keep it to yourself.
