This is the closest anyone has ever come to describing what I went through, although my anorexia/bulimia stages were more distinct from each other. I was finally hospitalized at 89 pounds, and although I’m a healthy weight now and never binge/purge, I am still dealing with the psychological effects nearly 5 years later. Thank you so much for posting this, and you wrote in such a way that would minimize triggers for girls struggling with an eating disorder.
Obviously part of rush is superficial, and we are influenced by society’s picture of “beautiful.” The point of this mini film and this article is to appreciate all forms of beauty and relate to each other and realize that everyone has insecurities. Duh.
