After having spent her undergraduate years drinking $4 double LITs on a patio and drunk texting away potential suitors, she managed to graduate with an impressive GPA and an unimpressive engagement ring -- so unimpressive, in fact, some might say it's not there at all. Veronica has since been fulfilling her duties as "America's big," a title she gave to herself with the help of her giant ego. She has recently switched from vodka to wine on weekdays. I think it’s just like… I have several “best friends,” you know? And if your gay best friend is not your NUMBER ONE, it’s like. I would say “my high school best friend,” “my best guy friend,” “my gay best friend.”
It has everything to do with sexism. My point is educating children SHOULD NOT be an easy degree. It should absolutely require more schooling. It should be harder to get into those classes and harder to get that certification, because it’s one of the most important jobs in the country and too many people just do it because it’s easy.
It’s not that women choose jobs that pay less, it’s that the jobs that women choose are valued less. And that is the problem. Having compassion and essentially raising the next generation SHOULD BE WORTH A LOT. Good grief.
Yeah, but the point is, they tried to change, no? This was their shape up semester, and they’re trying to do that. The should have just kicked them off at the time of the incident if that were the case.
The same faces have always been considered beautiful. Everyone knows that being overweight was at one point a symbol of wealth, but that is not and has never been the standard. There will always be trends, but the same people who were regarded as beautiful have always been.
I used to feel that way about lube. But without is is so much pressure to be turned on in one second, and honestly, it’s just better. Guys do NOT care about as much as you think they do. You can also turn it around like “Oh, you’ve never done this before? Weird.”
Not yet. I double checked before posting and it still just says “2015.” I would bet it will be before October, though, since Halloweentown will be the big thing, and then I don’t feel like it makes sense to release it during the holidays after that. If it were over the summer, I’d think they’d have the release date already, and I think people don’t watch TV in the summer. So I’d guess mayve around back-to-school time? Kind of fits with the plot as the kids are about to go back-to-school in the movie. But what do I know. I’m just a grownup getting excited about a children’s movie.
People were blacking out, hooking up, and laughing about it well before we came along to write it down. We stopped doing that really passive aggressive “classy” vibe that everyone hates and promote an environment where you can laugh at yourself. I also don’t think partying when you’re young is a mistake and I feel sorry that there was ever a time this website made young women feel like it was.
Disagree. It’s not worth it. Greeks are being vilified left and right, and defending something that the majority of the country views as racist is just not good for Greeks as a whole. It’s not worth it for one party. Unfortunately, no one is going to look at Greeks as brave for holding their ground right now. We’re under a microscope. It’s best just to stop doing shit that people think is offensive.
Tired covers “he doesn’t want to have sex tonight,” not “he doesn’t want to have sex with me at all.” I did cover unconfident, and if he’s uninterested, then they shouldn’t be together, and I didn’t mention it because “your boyfriend just isn’t interested in you like that” is a cruel thing to say.
I think women still have a reason they don’t want to have sex. What are you talking about? Like that reason might in one case just be “I’m not in the mood,” but there is a reason for everything you want and don’t want in your life, and if you’re in a relationship with someone, you absolutely owe that someone an explanation as to why you want your sex life to be one way or another. The fact of the matter is that your decision about sex affects the both of you, so the both of you deserve to know why it is the way it is. I would have written the same thing if the situation were reversed.
That’s not really true. If you are Spanish, you are white, but if you are Hispanic, you are Hispanic. The indigenous people in South America/Latin America are not of Spanish decent. Spain just took over those countries which is why they speak the language. By your logic, all English-speaking Native Americans would descend from England, which is simply not true.
I’m sorry that you feel misrepresented by this statistic, and as I do not have personal experience with an eating disorder, I only had the accounts of others to write this with. My ultimate goal with this piece was to try to strip people of any stigma they might have and to make them realize that while they might feel like the illness is far away, it’s not at all. I wanted to use statistics as well as my personal experiences to illustrate that it is, in fact, very close to us, whether we suffer from an ED or not.
However, I think what you’re bringing to the table is an interesting point worthy of discussion. I am a little bit older than most of TSM’s readers, so social media was not so much a factor in my experiences growing up, and I’d bet a lot of the research is not fully inclusive of the youngest generation now as researchers are probably my age and older. But I think comparing yourself to your peers is a normal experience, and I can definitely understand how that comparison could have serious adverse effects on a person.
I don’t want to act like I know what you’re going through, but people who are close to me do, and I hope that you can overcome this and wish you happiness and recovery.

But funny, because #relevant. You can’t give away the whole message in the title. Then there’s no point in reading it.

BLESS YOUR HEART, OBVIOUSLY. #downvotes

Hahahahaha.

An interesting point. It feels different though, huh?

Because she’s the devil, like this girl’s eboard. Duhhhhh.
You spend it over the course of a year. Plus that’s not as fun.
Big/little week is like a $1,000 endeavor that takes up 4-6 hours a day. Not bitter. Just pointing out that it’s stressful.
