The counties and states don’t get their list of people to call to jury duty from voter registrations, they get it from state IDs and driver’s licenses.
I think use of standards has more to do with how a chapter operates locally, rather than on the national level. I sat on Standards for 2 years and all but 1 or 2 of the issues we faced were academic probation or not paying dues. We knew things were going on but since they were isolated, we ignored them. The one or two non academic or financial issues were after repeated incidents.
Either way, I think your (and anyone else who encounters standards) experience has more to do with your chapter than your nationals.
This is so sad! Big thank you to your dad and your family for your sacrifices. I sometimes forget when the military arrives home safe they’re still dealing with stuff. Thanks for the reminder!
I feel like I am reading a letter from myself a few years ago. Same situation, the boy was so controlling and I was miserable but since I already invested so much time I didn’t want to start over. Finally one day I had enough and ended it. Best decision I ever made. I’m only disappointed in myself that I let it go on for so long. Not getting out is easily one of my life’s biggest regrets.
That being said, I’m not going to tell you what to do. You do you. Just my $.02
I lucked out. Most of the women’s clothing was gone when I got there, but I was able to buy kid’s clothing. A XL in kids fit me like a S in women’s. It was also half the price too!
How about hummus and pita?
And when I got called to jury duty my lunch was not paid for, but some restaurants in town chose to give discounts
