There are two reasons this is bullshit:
1) True feminism is accepting women as they are, and considering them equal. There’s been this weird side movement that has been saying that women have to be butch and strong and tough to be equal, but that’s stupid. That’s just another way of putting down women. If your idea of equality is making women hate the parts of themselves that are female and strive to act more like men 24/7, that’s not equality.
2) Donald Trump is horrible
I think there are definitely steps that need to be taken regarding periods. They need to stop being this cultural taboo. Like, even most dads have to come up with code words to see if their daughters are on their periods. This is dumb, and it would make being on your period so much easier if you didn’t have to treat it like a shameful secret. And pads and tampons really don’t need to be as expensive as they are. But one step that we definitely DONT need to take on our journey to equality is to just say fuck it and bleed everywhere.
Also, this isn’t the first time that he’s apparently done this. Which means that they’ve more than likely had a conversation before on how that hurts her and isn’t acceptable to her
Just make sure you don’t end up with one of the “nice guys” who talk about how women are bitches and the guys they’re dating are all assholes and whatnot.
Lol I just want to imagine the moment when she walked into Taco Bell with a professional photographer and was like, “hey, don’t mind me. just getting my senior pictures done. carry on as you were.”
But again, as she literally just said, it isn’t Ashley’s job or responsibility to teach these grown women what is and isn’t racist. She has no obligation to fight tooth and nail to change this institution. Yes, it would have been more respectful of her to solve it internally. But hey, it would have been more respectful of them not to make those comments in the first place when they were aware that they had a member or members of color.
It isn’t a crusade against all things ‘girly’ or ‘basic.’ It’s a very valid point that she’s raising. Lily is neither cheap nor does it offer a wide variety of sizes. It’s one of the reasons that it’s gotten so popular among sorority girls. Many of us are blessed with better access to funds and with smaller frames. But that doesn’t mean that all are. And so, of course it was wrong of another company to appropriate the styles, but that doesn’t mean that people aren’t allowed to enjoy the brief span in which they too were able to feel like a part of the Lily culture that so many of their sisters are. That doesn’t mean that she condones stealing another artist’s work.
That’s fine, but she didn’t start that until later in the night. At the point that Taylor responded, she had just made that comment about skinny girls winning awards. So, as far as anyone could tell, it was 100% about her. And tbh, we still don’t know that it wasn’t. Also, Nikki was nominated for 3 other awards. It’s not like she was completely ignored.

I get where you’re coming from, but there’s a difference between a couple having their tenders still and just looking through the people when they’re bored, and finding out that your fiancĂ©e has a tinder which he actively kept secret from you. And even when he was confronted, he just said that it was for self esteem. (Although I sincerely hope there was also an apology) that kind of puts it on the girl, you know? Like, it’s a mixture of ‘you weren’t enough for me’ and ‘these girls make me feel better about myself than being with you does’ which is just super gross.

But, like, did you not need lube?
