I totally agree with this, and not trying to shift the blame because I think we need to own up to things we do and step the fuck up, but a lot could be said about our parent’s generation contributing to this.
They were the ones who were born from the Greatest Generation and demanded me, me, me right up until the present when they’re demanding they keep social security benefits even though our generation may not see any of the money we contribute do anything to help our own future.
They were also the ones that gave our generation this damn sense of entitlement. Telling us that we were more special than everyone else, promoting political correctness and fairness instead of hard work and ethics, and creating the goddamn “Participation Medal,” Little league games without keeping score, and “Gold Stars”
