Hot Piece I have to shake my head in shame at this one. While I wholeheartedly agree that you can simultaneously be a feminist and a housewife/stay at home mom, I am astounded at how little you appear to know about feminism and its purpose. Feminism is about empowering women. Some women, as you point out, are empowered by becoming mothers; it is the most meaningful thing they will ever do in their lives. I personally think becoming a mother someday will also be empowering, but I am not naive enough to forget that eventually my kids will grow up and become independent and that if I want my life to continue to have any kind of meaning/substance/purpose that I will had to have done something outside of homemaking or child rearing. There are undoubtedly institutions in place in society that limit women, i.e., unequal pay, and it is because of those inequalities continued existence that I consider myself a feminist. Next time please do a little research before you spit out some trash like this article.

I’ve been to games when I don’t really care what’s going on because it’s a complete blow out and I still know how the game of football works. Just saying.
