I’m starting to like Amy less and less. She usually jokes about her weight in her standup routine and has been a staunch supporter of body acceptance but the moment someone groups her with Melissa Mccarthy, Adele, and Ashley Graham (all three who are awesome women) she is up in arms. She seems to have more issues with herself than the magazine.
But I must also say that I love that you and I can have an intelligent conversation online (each presenting our facts) in a respectful way without having to name call each other. This is why although we may have different letters we are all sorority women who support each other, regardless of our political affiliation.
But Planned Parenthood is not considered a non-profit. A non-profit would not directly receive federal funding. Non-profits are exempt from taxes (i.e. churches, The Clinton Foundation, etc.), which is why many non-profits have quite a bit of money. Although I completely understand advocating for their organization, however using the specific “Planned Parenthood” name as a PAC is not right. If they want to change their status and operate as a non-profit in which they do not receive federal funds but rather are tax exempt (like a non-profit) and those who donate to them could write it off their taxes, then I have no problem if they donate to specific candidates, have a PAC, etc.
My problem with Planned Parenthood stems from them being federally funded and still being allowed to endorse different political candidates as well as donate money to them. If we do not allow the post office to give money to political parties, Planned Parenthood should not be allowed to either.
I think maybe I misread her comments. My bad!

Yeah women may not be the problem, but they still have a right to defend themselves.
