Idk. As somebody who works 40 hours during the school year and 60 during the summer, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with being proud your parents help you. And I don’t know why we shame people who have that opportunity. It’s not like she said “ha sucks to be poor,” but rather that she admires and is proud of her parents’ work, and she shouldn’t be ashamed she and her family are fortunate to live the way they do. I guess it’s just me personally, but when I make enough so my kids don’t have to work through college, I hope they’re proud of my work too. Would I like help financially? Sure, but it doesn’t make me better off wishing or being offended.

  • pfairbairn 9 years ago on 9 Legitimate Reasons Why Getting Married Young Is A Bad Idea

Yeah, sorry to be on the butt hurt squad over here, but this article broke my heart a little. I love my fiancĂ©, and I’m incredibly excited for our lives together and very lucky I met him so early on in life. I understand that plenty of people get married for the wrong reasons young, but some of us are still doing it for the right ones. I know, I know, it’s a satire website, but still. Have some chill.

Lyres4life, have you ever been cheated on? I have, in public. He walked away with another girl in his arms and it devastated me. This article is rubbing salt in the wound to women who were naive enough to get cheated on everywhere. It’s not a tsm, regardless of the woman being Panhellenic or not. It’s offensive because it’s a direct insult without naming names. It’s not really a different viewpoint, you don’t choose to be another ethnicity or sexual orientation, but you make a conscious effort to hurt somebody, and that’s what’s wrong. Granted, none of us were forced to read this, but each girl on here has just as much right to be upset as you do to think they shouldn’t be.

NRAdude, I am not sure what you’re reading, but it definitely isn’t what I’m writing. Your statements are just offensive, and you are resorting to name calling and berating to get your point across. Not only have you not answered any of my questions I’ve asked, because I’m now 100% sure you don’t know anything about medicine, you have been accusatory, rude, assumptive and mean. The fact you are telling me to go back to school when I’m 20, incorrectly telling me my political beliefs and assuming that is acceptable is embarrassing for any person. If you feel so strongly about the intelligence of anybody on this website, why the hell are you hassling a bunch of women in their early twenties? You don’t have to be on here, or telling anybody anything. Besides, at least I have the balls to put my name on here, and don’t have to hide begin the guise of anonymity. I hope you have a good time bullying people you think are “uneducated liberals.”

NRAdude, I will give you a million dollars if you can find in my previous statement where I mentioned
    1) I am a liberal
    2) I support abortion as a method of birth control
    3) sex linked congenital diseases apply to both sexes
    4) I have never volunteered time or money to charities, hospitals or clinics or shelters
    5) I said I wanted the government subsidizing my sex life
Your conclusory statements derived from my statement is without factual proof, making your point moot. Do not accuse somebody before obtaining all the facts, it makes you look spiteful an uninformed.

NRAdude, have you ever seen somebody with or personally experienced somebody who has asthma, or cancer or some congenital disease in which they couldn’t have changed the way they are, and require medical insurance to help pay for said condition? Is that unjust and wrong because every person does not have those problems? Is it unfair that only women can be treated for turner syndromes because they are the only ones who can have it? Is it unfair we only treat men with alport syndrome because they are the only ones who can have it? So how are any of those examples different from a woman who suffers an ectopic pregnancy and needs the child aborted? Or a rape victim who cannot carry the child? Are you willing to punish victims of circumstance because of factors beyond control? I’m not sure how it’s “granting a gender more rights,” to allow that when in reality, did they even choose their gender? Or to have a zygote improperly attach? So why is it fair to punish them?
