I have the utmost respect for the kappa chaper at our university. My intention of posting this picture was to show some HEALTHY competition to raise money for an amazing cause and us sororities working together to do that. I am sure no disrespect was taken too seriously from anyone, and sae especially is a great group of gentleman who will understand. Let’s just all move on from this and not take this website too seriously because honestly TFM is meant to be hilarious and ironic. This isn’t college ACB where we attack each other anonymously online and spread rumors because that’s totes not the class that this website promotes. It’s a cute photo, we made life really great for some amazing children who have cancer, that’s what the focus SHOULD be about, not who wins or looses.

Bless your heart, KKG didn’t win penny wars AXO did, but it’s ok because we won ALL of Paddy Murphy week by over 150 points. That’s what aiming high is all about.

It’s called Lake Michigan. Maybe you need to go back to elementary school to learn grammar AND geography.

Also, even if it was the worst handwriting in the world, I would still love it because I got it from the best daughts ever. Sorry I’m not sorry about being proud of this.

Oops! I wrote form instead of from. I guess I should have checked my spelling. Also, way to show some Christmas spirit by trash talking. Being a hater over the internet = NS.

I don’t like MAC, I think it looks caked on and overdone, also it made me break out really bad. I LOVE Clinique, it’s really good for your skin and I could wear it for a long time and not break out. I highly recommend to have SPF in your foundation, it’s so much better for your skin.
I also really like ELF makeup. It’s super cheap and works just as good as the expensive stuff. 🙂

i want to get a new longchamp! what colors do y’all suggest?

I asked this a few days ago but haven’t received any replies, so I just went ahead and ordered one! I got the expandable tote (Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!) in graphite. It was between that and black, but I just thought the graphite looked nicer. I really wanted the bilberry one, but they didn’t have the expandable one in that color. Hope that helps!

I agree, everyone has a black one, so I felt like being original and getting graphite. Are they on sale at Nordstrom? Usually they don’t discount their bestsellers.

Sending my legacy to my alma mater this fall and need fashion advice. Can anyone give me some advice on sorority fashion must haves at Oklahoma State?

We are a Southern family living in the Midwest, so we have experienced the regional differences in fashion, food, and manners. My daughter received enough VB for graduation to make a cover for her car (duffels in three sizes, backpack, laptop case, makeup bag, two phone holders, three IDcases), because it is insanely popular here. How much VB is acceptable on the OSU campus?

Rush attire?! HELP!! Just bought her a presh Lilly dress for Rush (sorry, I’m old school….can’t say recruitment). She has to wear shorts/skirt with a Panhel shirt one day. Which is better and what kind? How dressy should she be on Pref day? Jewelry? I’m having her grandmother’s pearls restrung, but if they aren’t done by Rush, I’ll just send her with mine, so pearls are covered. Are the James Avery charm bracelets still popular? I started hers when she was three, and it tells her story, so I love it, but I don’t want her to look like a doofus. (geed wasn’t a word in my day)

Everyday wear? Thankfully, she is turning away from UO and towards J. Crew (praise God!), but what do we need in her wardrobe besides norts (she has tons), Toms (15 pairs), UGGS (4) and cowboy boots (4). What is most popular in jeans? (boot, skinny) Skirts or shorts? What style/fabric/colors/patterns?

Any advice is greatly appreciated! I can hardly wait for her to have the unmatchable experience of sorority life, and I don’t really care if she pledges my house! You ladies have no idea how strong your sisterly bond will still be 30 years from now!! BTW, please spare me the just be yourself and your clothes don’t matter line. I’ve been through Rush, been on the house side of Rush and been a Rush Counselor; I know better.

This is TOTES PRESH, I can’t wait to have a legacy to spoil with precious goods for rush myself!
I’m originally from California and rushed in the midwest and freaked about the different styles too, but no need to worry, most girls at my rush just wore cute jeans and adorable dressy tops with Tory flats/toms.
Unfortunately Lilly is not super huge around here, and few girls wear it. Vera Bradley isn’t as huge a trend here as some people say, but if it’s cute looking then rock it.
For the Panhel shirt day just have her wear a super cute J. Crew skirt/shorts with it and I’m sure she won’t go wrong.
Pref day is very dressy. I wore my tea length dress that I bought for a wedding and pearls (of course), this would be the perfect time for the Lilly dress.

I think the most important thing I wore during rush was a nice watch. Every sorority girl I talked to had one on. I don’t know about the James Avery charm bracelets, but the Pandora ones are pretty popular (however, I’d much rather wear a classy watch any day).
UGGS are HUGE in the midwest. A lot of girls wear them with shorts (which I think is super tacky, but that might just be me).
Dark skinny jeans are the biggest right now. I recommend a pair of cute TALL boots for the cold weather and a pair of Hunter rain boots which are perfect for the snow and rain (which we get A LOT of).
I would avoid UO, because around here only weird poser hipster kids wear it.

I’m sure she will be greatly loved by your house, especially if she’s a legacy. I wish you both luck, and with the wardrobe you got I’m sure she’ll have a ton of girl crushes fighting to be her big.

Girls lacrosse is definitely sratty. My lacrosse team all wore matching bows on game days, and I loved wearing a skirt on the field.
    Also Track and Field

How does everyone feel about the new trend of feather extensions that seems to be taking over the country? I thought it was just a fad with preteens, but I keep seeing more and more girls (up to my age and even older) with colorful pieces of bird sticking out of their hair. I really hate them. I think the forty-something year old mother I saw today with a bright yellow one in her dark hair was the tipping point for me.

It sounds like something a bunch of GDI hipsters would wear. NS

I also forgot to mention the IMPORTANCE of getting a nice looking watch. During rush we had to all wear the same shirts with jeans so sororities couldn’t judge us on what we wore, so to spice up my outfits I wore a cute watch at every rush event, and every single person I talked to told me how much they liked it. You don’t always have to splurge either. The BP section of Nordstrom always has cute watches for less than $20, and most people can’t tell the difference between those and a nicer more expensive one.

I’m originally from Southern California but go to school in the midwest and still don’t get all the craze with vera bradley, but I did cave in and get a small ID holder in which I take with me everywhere. Also a big thing out here is wearing norts with uggs which i think is so gross looking. If it’s warm enough to wear norts, your uggs should be tightly packed away along with your winter jackets. I agree that Jack Rogers are a southern thing. Nobody really wears then in the north or in cali, however I could see myself getting a pair in the future because they are a bit classier than my worn out pair of rainbows.
I’ve hated Lucky brand ever since the first pair of jeans I got from there ripped in the upper thigh less than 6 months after I got them. I think True Religions have a really good quality to them, but the coin pockets ruined the inside of all of my longer coats that I wear in the winter and scratched up the wooden chairs in my freshman dorm room which I got fined for.
For those on a budget, J Crew can have some surprisingly cheap items on sale, and you get 15% off at any J Crew if you show them a student ID and drivers license. My fratdaddy always says Banana Repubic is GDI. I can see how it would be GDI for men, but I’ve found some really cute things from there, any opinions?
