I think the only reason we stopped fighting was because we took care of it privately and respectfully (for once) and that seems a little on the catty side…
I hate to admit that I did this for a guy (not married but in a serious relationship) and it is the worst thing you will ever do. Years later I still regret it. You will question everything about yourself, about the relationship, about what was real and what wasn’t, and it will hurt you more than it hurts to say goodbye now. Trust me, and for the love of yourself, walk away.
I totally thought you meant OP of the rape joke until I kept reading and saw you were OP against the rape joke… sorry for the down vote, it was before I scrolled…
I read it, and it doesn’t change the fact that half of what you said is wrong in your introduction and half of your reasons deal with the type of wedding, attire, or ring. Having friends help plan your wedding because you can’t afford a planner is thrifty and a smart idea. Maybe they really like converse, you shouldn’t judge that. Maybe a backyard barbecue is more family oriented and cost efficient than whatever dream wedding you envisioned (and giving up a dream fairytale day to be with the person you love is definitely a mark of maturity). Maturity is needed for marriage, I agree, but every woman should feel like a princess on their wedding day, regardless of their age. That’s not immature, it’s a good analogy for being excited about the life ahead of you and feeling confident and worthy of that. Judging girls for feeling a certain way is immature, as well as breaking the bank when you’re a broke college kid and have a life to save for (esp. when mall watches work just as well), and so is this demeaning article.
As someone who waited, you want a guy that cares enough to wait for you. Maybe not until marriage, but he should care, because it obviously matters to you, just like he should care about anything else that matters to you. If not, he doesn’t actually like you and you’re better off waiting for a guy that does.
they’re both being typical fame-went-to-my-head petty girls. if you look at the tweet history, Nicki was comparing anaconda to wrecking ball, which means Taylor made something that wasn’t about her, about her. And Nicki shouldn’t have said anything, anyways. Neither was in the “right” and I’m glad this article points out we shouldn’t pretend they are just cuz they’re strong female icons and #feminism.
It’s sad that the Department of Fraternity and Sorority life couldn’t even live up to the basic due processes they would have gotten in court. That’s low… I’m more angry that the very people supposed to support them were the ones that did this.
I can’t imagine the amount of pressure this show puts not only on Caitlyn but her family, especially right after her transition. I have a feeling it’s not gonna be a good thing to have to go through transition only to continue in the spotlight.
I don’t think we need to putting other women down for getting married sooner. For some people it works, for others it doesn’t. My grandparents married at 18, my parents at 20, and I’m engaged and 20. I don’t look down on other girls for not being “mature enough” or “future focused” so why do you assume that I’m the lesser one? I agree, it’s not wrong to get married young at all nor should you be putting me down while you spend every other weekend with a different guy.
having actually been sexually abused, I know you never want to experience it again. girls that are kinky probably have less issues than the those of us who just want plain missionary (and I envy their freedom every day).

video doesn’t work, please fix. I really wanna show my boyfriend I’m not that crazy.

filing for bankruptcy is a business move and does not actually mean you’re broke.

if you care more about having fancy things than starting a life with the person you love, you probably wrote this article.
P.S. people actually marry later now than ever before so that was a blatant lie.

Didn’t cry.

you chose a school with only two sororities…

But tight or jersey dresses/skirts make that impossible… I may want to say goodbye, but my thongs aren’t worried, they know I’ll be back.
I hate to be the one to say it, but especially with the one that gave you $5,000 for “strictly sex”, it just sounds a lot like prostitution.

idk where you made up that word but it sounds like a dinosaur

Work hard, play hard is totally a thing. You’ll be just fine.
I’m sorry is there a reason you don’t want people to associate her with your sorority?…
