That conversation where you bring up politics for some reason and come to the conclusion that everyone should just love everyone and there should be no sadness in the world.
We’re told everything that we have to put into the basket and can’t put extra. The personalization comes with the basket and the crafting. Tip for everyone who’s chapter is the same, we usually give all the extra things (more tshirts, lavalier, wine glass, canvases, wooden letters, etc) in an extra basket at a family get together right after initiation, or we sneak them into our design.
A bunch of girls at my college and I do this job and it’s so much fun! It’s a lot of work at first but once you get into it, the pay off is great (making little kids happy and the $$), and it becomes easier. Plus it’s the most interesting, attention seeking fun fact ever “I’m a birthday party princess!” It’s also easy to fit around your college schedule. We also offer princes and superheroes if you so want.
Exactly. It’s one thing among many that they are doing to prevent sexual assault. It’s actually really cool that multiple fraternities got together and did this. Why are people when they’re really trying?
I feel like if I was in this situation I would react the same, just deny the stereotype and walk away, because I don’t want to waste the time or energy arguing or discussing it with him. Don’t give him what he wants. I know it’s a joke but it doesn’t seem to be coming from a good place.
They’ve been taking quite a hit since switching to serving breakfast all day, so this isn’t too much of a surprise. I’m fine with it if it means mozzarella sticks.
As an musical theater actress, I never like to perform in front of people I know. I am happy they come to the shows I’m at, but it is another bit of pressure to get my turns/lines/notes right when they’re there. I’m sure she was nervous walking in a show that was at that scale. It says nothing about her talent.
I work as a birthday party princess going to children’s birthday parties and our company does volunteer events like this all the time! We went to an event for the Special Olympics and it’s such a joy to see the kids’ excitement when their favorite character comes to see them
Transgender is so much more than just saying you’re the opposite gender than you were at birth because you choose so. Trans people identify with their gender wholly just like you identify as and feel female. It’s not a choice, and more importantly it’s not a choice they made so they can join a gender specific organization. People need to stop using “I can just say I’m a guy, so can I join a frat” as an argument because it completely undermines the transgender community. Would you actually just say you’re a guy and join a frat for shits and giggles? I don’t think you or anyone actually would. Yes this is a step in the right direction, and yes it is controversial because a rejected rushee can always play the “trans” card, but these “problems” fall on the scale of rare to not even going to happen, and this is more of a breakthrough than a potential problem. So please stop using this INVALID point because it only labels you as ignorant.

Yeah we give the lavalier after initiation because we can’t wear block letters until we’re initiated.

For my Daisies to Brownies “Bridging” ceremony, someone made a big cardboard oven and we were “baked” into Brownies. They don’t do this anymore…..
With the dress all I ever saw was white and gold but with this one the colors change back and forth. I’m so scared. Why?
TSS always scared me when I was little but it’s actually very rare. Probably how she survived that, as well as all these people above me…?
This is so true. I found it really hard believing her and cringed throughout the entire video. There was something off about it.

With the directions “yeah you just kind of shape them into bone looking… Yeah” you definitely need baking skills hahah

To put it in perspective, this gives 45 abused and neglected children a CASA for a year! Congrats on a successful event!
