Hey my reason is definitely better than the actual reason in the article lol. I know when I get engaged, wedding planning is definitely gonna be more important to me than whatever my boring entry level job is. No employer wants any new hire to have significant absenteeism or lack of commitment to the job (which is totally reasonable and valid)

  • Ansleydeltapi 8 years ago on Stanford University Bans Hard Liquor In The Wake Of Brock Turner Case

I’m not sure that banning hard liquor is a good solution, nor does alcohol excuse rapist from their actions. That being said, I do think that people in general (both girls and guys) will be safer in many ways and will make better decisions if they know how to drink responsibly, stay with friends etc… Alcohol certainly doesn’t excuse rape, but promoting common sense safety is definitely not blaming the victim either. Teaching alcohol and party safety to college students is in no way a bad thing, but banning it altogether is probably counterproductive anyways. As a girl, I think guys should definitely be taught to not rape and should be held responsible for their actions, but if I can make myself a less likely target by taking certain common sense precautions, I’m gonna do that and I believe in teaching other women the same thing.

Or an even more legitimate and less shitty reason: that if she’s busy planning a wedding, she might not be as focused on the job and would be taking too much time off too early (dress shopping, food/cake tastings, visiting venues etc… And the honeymoon of course). Wearing an engagement ring is more likely to signal that the job might not be the woman’s top priority at least until after the wedding.

Weight also has a lot to do with it. Most girls don’t start their period until they reach a certain weight, but since more kids are overweight now, they’ll start their period younger. My 14 year old sister is tiny and just started getting irregular period a few months ago, but she’s told me about some of the heavier girls in her class who started their period when they were like 10. Obesity also increases your risk of health conditions that could lead to premature death.

I personally love the word fiancé just because I’ve always thought the French language is so beautiful, but I totally agree that girls act like total snobs once they’re engaged. I get that it’s an exciting time in a girl’s life, and when she’s planning a wedding, she’s going to be thinking about it nonstop. That’s no reason to act like she’s better than everyone else though, especially since statistically, most girls will end up getting married at some point.

  • Ansleydeltapi 8 years ago on I Slept With A Guy In Every Fraternity To Save My Sorority's Reputation

Once again TSM resorts to posting anther crazy sex story for attention lmfao. Also the author takes credit for getting the “strangest” girls in her chapter formal dates??? Yeah I’m so sure those guys wanted to go with her sisters just because she was a slut (that literally makes zero sense). On the off chance this is true, maybe instead of sleeping with frat guys to make her chapter appeal to boys, OP should have given her awkward sisters a chance. Then this article could have been about how her pledge class got super close, and all the PNMs wanted to join DPhiE because saw how amazing their sisterhood was – which is kinda the point of being in a sorority anyways.

My point is that almost every article on tsm lately has either been a recruitment video or an article about some random “crazy” sex topic. I don’t believe even half of the stories on here are true, and I can’t tell if they’re trying to be funny or relatable or if they’re just going for shock value.

This game is a major bonding tool for me and my boyfriend haha it’s so great. Now, he actually wants to go on walks with me, or the park, or new restaurants or pretty much anywhere else I want to go. And we both enjoy the game so it’s the best of both worlds!

Also at a lot of bigger Greek life schools, at least half the girls in bottom tier chapters could easily fit in with other sororities because rush is competitive and the real weirdos don’t get bids at all! A lot of times the gap between bottom tier and top tier isn’t as big as a lot of people think. I have friends in bottom tier chapters who are awesome people who would make a great addition to any sorority!

  • Ansleydeltapi 8 years ago on This Popular Show On HGTV Is Totally Fake

Fixer Upper – a lot of the houses don’t stay decorated. According to a Q&A with Joanna Gaines, she decorates all the houses for the show, but furniture and decor is not included in the renovation budget. Some clients choose to spend additional money for the decor, but others just keep their old furniture

  • Ansleydeltapi 8 years ago on Study Finds That You're Less Likely To Orgasm If You Buy Into Sexist Beliefs

Well obviously if you perceive your partner as selfish and you perceive the relationship to be one-sided, you’re not going to be happy. The problem has nothing to do with more traditional (apparently sexist wtf?) views of men and women. The only point is if you’re happy with your relationship, it’s gonna be easier to orgasm, and if your in a relationship with someone you aren’t compatible with, you’re not gonna have a great sex life.
