I was just an MIT rush party and this is the weirdest thing because there’s literally no alcohol at any of their rush parties. MIT police raids the frat houses and they’re really strict about it.
Sure people pre-game but wow, of all the times to have someone fall out your window, it happens on a dry weekend.
Exactly! Like oh? You don’t need feminism? Ok how about you don’t vote or have a job, and allow men to treat you like their property, only wear dresses, and be seen and not heard.
Definitely great points.
Something to think about: It’s has been documented that women actually go into lower paying fields (starting with their choice of college major) which will allow them to have more flexible hours/day care/ more time for their families, and men (in general) simply don’t do that when choosing their careers.
Also, when time has to be taken off to care for a child, even if the mother makes more money, she is usually the one to stay home (though you are correct she is the one with the equipment to feed it and whatnot)
Maybe we shouldn’t give our daughters baby dolls and our sons toy stethoscopes when they are at their most impressionable, and instead teach boys and girls equally about the importance of both childcare and careers. Something needs to be changed in the way that we raise children, so that women don’t end up shouldering most of the burden of child care because they feel that they have to, and instead couples can decide to share the responsibilities however it works best for them.
If someone who is pro-choice, feminist, pro-gay marriage, pro- taxes to pay for welfare and medicaid, pro-not minuscule minimum wage, pro-weed legalization, and pro-separation of church and state, then voting for almost any member of the Republican party is NOT the best way to represent their interests. It’s almost scary to me that a woman would feel this way about the issues and NOT vote for the Democrats.
Whenever there is an bill in congress that tries to create greater equality b/w men and women, every single republican votes against it. Yes some Repubs aren’t super tea-partiers, but they still caucus together and vote along party lines 99% of the time. Please please read up on the platforms of everyone you are supporting and voting for before deciding that you are a Republican, because it really sounds like your interests would be better served by voting Democratic.

Missing the first senior pub night because I’ll still be 20…guess I’ll chill with my little that night
Definitely great points.

This is everything.
