One more point to bring up regarding what was sad in the actual article; are you, or are you not, proposing that women make more money then in order to make up for the money they will lose rearing children? What about women that never have children? What about households where the man is the primary caretaker? Why should companies pay extra money to women just because they might have children, or DO have children, they’re paying extra money for less labor, that’s a bad business move. What that will do is ensure women don’t get hired to begin with. Good job.

I’m sorry but I cannot sit here and read this article about a nonexistant pay gap without saying anything. The pay gap is a misleading, warped statistic used by feminists to make a point that doesn’t exist. There are so many factors in this that are not considered. If you and a man are doing the same job at the same company, you’re not getting paid less, that’s insane. The reasons there is a “pay gap” (which there isn’t), is because women choose different career paths that often pay less. (Nursing, teaching, etc.) Men often go into engineering, science related fields which historically pay more. When you account for all of these factors, the pay gap decreases to the point of vanishing. I love TSM but this is so inaccurate and you shouldn’t be using warped, false statistics to add fire to a problem that isn’t even there.

You’re right, I haven’t been called fat my whole life. I have, however, been called anorexic, flat, disgusting, unhealthy, the list goes on and on and it started in elementary school. You think that just because you’re bigger, you’re the only one that’s had to deal with the bullying and the cruelty that comes from being a different size than the average girl? Well you’re not. I empathize with what larger girls have had to deal with, so you know what? I expect that same empathy because your suffering is no worse or different, for that matter, than mine. Just opposite sides of the spectrum, that’s it. The only difference is that it’s now taboo to put down a larger woman for her size, but completely acceptable to shame a skinny woman for her body. So how about you “stop whining” and stop believing that you’re so special that you are the only one that has suffered from body-related bullying in her life. That’s so unbelievable and I’m ashamed for you.

I can’t take anything you say seriously anymore after that ignorant jcrew article you wrote skinny shaming, you’re obviously not a feminist since you insult women and shame them, so I’m confused as to why you’re so excited that TSM is “anti anti feminist”?

“You’re wrong, feminism isn’t about women wanting supremacy and entitlement, and we don’t hate men! Here are some examples of times when we have fought for men’s issues…”

    — said no feminist ever.

  • rqfarizona 10 years ago on J.Crew Introduces Size 000, In Case You Didn't Feel Bad Enough

Go JCrew. Look, jcrew runs big, and I’m sorry but if you’re going to accept that people can be naturally large, you need to accept that girls can be naturally slender, too. A 00 in jcrew pants are too big for a LOT of women, and I think it’s great that jcrew is taking the initiative to offer smaller sizes to those women. The world doesn’t revolve around making sure larger women’s feelings aren’t hurt. These sizes aren’t hurting anyone.
