murdering a newborn is a heinous crime. but what’s the difference between this and killing a baby that’s inside you? one is murder and the other is…a woman’s choice? this doesn’t make sense to me.
I definitely think women need to step their game up as well!! It’s not just being in shape and looking presentable. I think that channeling Audrey and Lilly instead of trying to be an “Instagram babe of the day” is a great place to start.
it’s nice to hear someone make light of the whole “shaming” fad which is all over my new feeds. everything from “end fat/slut/greek/stretch mark shaming”. not every mean comment needs to turn into a campaign to prove “everyone is perfect no matter what and no one can say otherwise”.
I feel like in a lot of ways TSM has turned into a website that promotes the bad decisions and mistakes yeahokaywhat rightfully points out that we should be avoiding. For example 11 weeks ago a #TransformationTuesday was posted on Instagram comparing TSM wall posts…… “Being classy and going home at a reasonable hour, because nothing but trashy legs are open at 2 am”. (2011). “You can’t regret what you don’t remember.” (2014). There are so many young women (some in high school) who read this website, and I think that the “TSMs” and other content are making impressionable sisters think that being “TSTC” means living a life without concern for their mistakes.
I agree…there are a lot of things many call “TSMs” or being “TSTC” which are way more inappropriate and hurtful to Greek life than antebellum style dresses. What would be smart, in my opinion, would be to encourage more tasteful and classy outfits at all themed events in order to protect and strengthen sorority reputations.
I think it was a genuinely sweet gesture! Rebekah was the one who posted the video online which spread the word about the gifts and money Taylor gave her.
From my point of view it’s not about “other girls” wearing LP. I definitely don’t have any hate towards people who can’t afford mountains of Lilly. I just think that if part of what makes this brand extra special is that it’s a luxury item that you might value more because it’s not something you can pick up easily at the store around the corner.
I just feel like saying that it’s “something almost everyone does” doesn’t make it acceptable. Sure, we all have the free will to sleep around or have one night stands if we want. But is this something that represents college women well? No, not really.
I feel like the whole “stride of pride” & “just got laid parade” concept actually does promote sleeping around. First of all, whoever you had sex with isn’t even enough of a gentleman to escort you home? Not cool. And on top of this, is a one night stand really something you’re proud of and want to associate with you and your sorority?
So if Wal Mart replaces “fat girl” with “plus size” does that really make anything better? Will the overweight girls feel good that they are being labeled as a more politically correct version of what many are thinking?
this is awesome! the “fat acceptance movement” (yes, it’s a thing) is promoting “health at any weight” which is not at all possible. its great you turned away from that ridiculousness and pushed yourself. you should be very proud.

pretty sure Anna from Frozen will be the most popular costume in every state this year!!
I feel like it didn’t just “get past” editing boards. It was approved by them. It was certainly a conscious decision.

some of those transformations were kinda horrifying.
Seriously? hmmm this doesn’t seem to be a total sorority move to me.
I think it’s a really cute tradition that a girl makes a big present for her date. It’s a way to show you care.
