I think its mostly true with a lot of humor. for example Clemson has that type of thing and they follow dorm rules and one of the rules is you are 21 you can drink and have alcohol in your room. chapter room was different
I try to stick to duty like and actual like. I also try to avoid insta in that 30 min when I’m drunk, alone (by choice) just got back from ____, and trying to decide if a baby wipe of full face washing is needed before I pass out (usually with out doing either). That usually the time I do my most damaging social media……
What pissed you off so bad lol? My family tree is THE hot messes yet we have some of the highest gpas in the house. Same amount of energy spent on school matched with same amount of energy of all the fun, almost makes you untouchable 🙂
Yes the boys are magic. . As for the other house its 6 bedrooms and from what I understand an alum bought as a rental property about 20 years ago and set up a special rental arrangement. One senior is elected house manager and she has her own room/office. She gets the bills paid and calls the land lord, pays the maid/pool guy and so on. The basement has a huge dorm room style for 4 or 6 girls. Always juniors. The other half of the basement is a tv/ party room. As for the rooms I’m not sure some are shared and some aren’t. My big (a junior) is premed and has the smallest room to her self. Yet the master has 3 full beds for 3 girls. The garage is like the second kitchen with 2 extra fridges and 3 washer/dryers and party room. Its a no freshmen zone so I’ve only been there a few times. Also its fully furnished from past sisters leaving things behind. Its cool but I love living with 67 other amazing women (well minus the 15 or so who hate living in this beatiful Mansion with a chef, a maid, house boys, walking to class and frats and DT…… Big freaking deal we have to hide booze and can’t have guys sleep over. )I NEVER have to worry about walking into my room and seeing my roommate blowing a rando, which happened every weekend freshman year. Just saying!
As a sohpmore living in my required year I LOVE LOVE L.O.V.E. it. This is so spot on. Im considering running for exec board so I don’t ever have to move lol. The only thing is about 25 percent of my pledge class hates it and they don’t make it secret. They are the girls we expect to drop any day…. Ugh. Next year I’ll probably live in Chi 2.0 (18 juniors and seniors live in this huge off campus mini mansion with a pool…) if I’m really lucky.
And house boys they basically clean the kitchen and dinning rooms, fix easy maintenance think unclogging toilets, changing light bulbs, moving furniture, really really helping on move in and move out days. If you strike up a good relationship with them they might even deice your car or go out and get you Chipotle or Starbucks if you don’t want to or can’t leave the house or meds if you are sick. All 4 of ours are fraternity brothers and the position usually gets handed down.It is not a “help wanted” kinda thing. we are highly encourage not to date them but you know things happen 🙂 rant over!!!!
but my school has houses so yeah
