Even so, the fact that such measures have to be taken is pathetic. The fact that the issue has never been addressed is even more pathetic. Someone should be holding this asshats accountable. And honestly I think the idea of having a black IBOTD out of the blue is also hindered by how many black chicks actually apply. I mean in Jack’s defense he can only work with he’s got. So personally I’m not too moved by the lack of multiple black IBOTDs. But I do find it oddly suspicious that’s there never even been a single one. I mean if there is, or if there’s a black sweetheart please let me know. And I hate hate hate how the guys that comment can’t fathom the idea of one.
Stuff like that makes me question am I really welcome? Maybe it’s also because I’m aware that the audience is mostly white.
Anyway as far as having articles about D9 stuff I would love to see people who were actually in those sororities/fraternities to submit colums. That’d be cool.
I guess maybe if I want a black presence then I should make myself known. Add something. Contribute etc.
People are awful. I feel bad for Rachel, Catie, and the Intern. Pretty sure you guys have the meanest comments. Anyway, I’m glad you guys continue doing what you do despite unnecessary hateful feedback.
Okay, I have no clue what happened to my post. So I’ll just repeat it.
I (a black girl that loves Greek life especially the Panhellenic/predominantly white side) feel completely underrepresented by TSM and TFM. I would argue that TSM is more inclusive due to that fact that I’ve seen a someone post an article about being black in a white sorority. But on TFM it’s ridiculous. I seen plenty of racist jokes. And lord forbid the IBOTD be even remotely ethnic/slightly darker than tan (in a not Asian or Native American way) or else everyone goes apeshit. It’s ridiculous and people should be ashamed.
I honestly hope Grandex begins to make TSM and TFM more inclusive to people of all ethnicities and backgrounds. Because guess what? Greek life is for everyone, regardless of If you’re black or white. Everyone should be allowed the experience.
On a side note, I’d actually really like to be a TSM writer. So lol I didn’t think about the lack of POC writers.
If you think maracas on a poster is more important than raising money for a good cause you have a serious problem.
Moreover if Maracas aren’t at all a part of Mexican culture please tell Mexicans, Mexican restaurants, mariachi bands, and people having fiestas to stop using them.
I think for Zendaya to make it a race issue was a stretch. Nowhere did Giuliana mention anything race related. She basically said she looked like a high as fuck hippie. Which granted dreads are commonly associated with hippies this isn’t a new concept. So I don’t know where that race BS came from.
But I respect Zendaya for defending herself in a calm and eloquent manner. And I respect Giuliana for apologizing like a grown-up and not trying to blow it off.
Great personality… But she’s not funny at all. The premise of the movie is good tho, so I plan on seeing it. But I’ve seen Amy’s stand up and skits and it’s lacking.
People act like he died or something, smh.
Well this whole was a mess
…we use the term People of Color tho or “POC”which is considered politically correct even tho it’s basically “colored people”
Food for thought.
Preach sistah. I’ll start listening to Eva when Ryan finally puts that ring on it.
Smh, even Kimmy Schmidt could answer that question.
This is one of those times when I really wish mailbags came with updates.

now that you pointed that out yeah…. That’s actually pretty awkward.

I actually agree with most of these. Is that bad?
Smh. This is just petty.

LOL I agree Joan Rivers was known to crucify people on Fashion Police. Saying someone smells like weed is child’s play.

The situation was handled well.
Ew what? No. I haven’t even seen Kylie wearing but I can imagine it’d look awful.
